The Grace Early Childhood Care & Education Center is a Missouri Licensed and Accredited facility that houses a variety of early childhood programs including Parents As Teachers, Early Childhood Special Education, Title I Preschool, Missouri Preschool Project, Part-time Preschool Education, and an Infant & Toddler Child Care Center.
Our Parents As Teachers program offers personal home visits, parenting workshops, developmental screenings, various group activities and meetings, and a community resource lending library that offers materials and resources to parents, young children, and community providers.
Early Childhood Special Education offers programming designed around the specific and individual needs of qualifying children who are exhibiting delays in developmental areas.
Title I Preschool is offered to qualifying children who have shown a delay in one or more areas of the DIAL screening and possible other “At-Risk” factors related to school readiness.
The Missouri Preschool Project program offers a fee-based full-time care and education program for children ages 3-5, Monday through Friday, 6AM to 6PM.
Our Part-time Preschool offers a free preschool experience to children the year prior to kindergarten entry. This program meets two half-days per week.
The Infant & Toddler Child Care Center is designed to provide quality care for the children of high school students in order to support the development of parenting skills as well as assisting in their work towards graduation. As openings exist, this is also a fee-based program for the children of district employees.
The preschool classrooms are all staffed with certified early childhood teachers and trained paraprofessionals. All staff are trained in developmentally appropriate practice and curriculum. A building wide curriculum, Creative Curriculum, is also implemented at Grace along with practices that correlate with the Missouri Early Childhood Standards.
